Gerald started working as a Circuit Rider Trainer in 2017 and has been in the water industry since 2004. Gerald currently holds a level 2 Water Treatment License.
His first introduction to water was as a public works employee in his home community of Whitefish River First Nation where they originally had Pressure Sand Filters. Gerald has also worked as a Public Works Managers assistant and spent a short time as public works manager. With experience as a Councilor, Gerald has learned the importance and priority of clean water in First Nation communities.
Much of Gerald’s time is spent on the road as a Trainer traveling to different First Nations here in Ontario, which he finds very rewarding in getting to see many new places and meeting new people along the way.
