Fire and Safety Program Update
The OFNTSC continues to provide technical advisory support for Fire Safety during this time through conference calls and information shares.
As a Member of the NAN Amber's Fire Safety Working Group has a total of 12 different organizations that participated in this conference call.
At the meeting chaired by NAN all partners in the working groups have equal share prompting "Fire Safety" to all First Nations in the province and beyond.

Infrastructure Specialist
We are seeking a highly motivated and skilled Infrastructure Specialist to join our team at OFNTSC. Under the guidance of the Infrastructure Supervisor, the Infrastructure Specialist will play a crucial role in conducting inspections and reviews of new housing, assist and advise clients, and provide First Nation communities with the skills and expertise necessary to manage technical training.
Emergency Management Coordinator
We seek a highly motivated and skilled Emergency Management Coordinator to join our team at OFNTSC. Under the guidance of the Director of Engineering and Infrastructure, the Emergency Management Coordinator will play a crucial role in developing capacity within First Nation partners through all four pillars of emergency management: mitigation, preparedness, response, and recovery. This position requires strong organizational, communication, and emergency management skills.
Solid Waste Technical Advisor
Under the guidance of the Regional Solid Waste Specialist, the Solid Waste Technical Advisor will provide a wide range of advisory and technical services to our First Nation clients on the operation, maintenance, and development of waste disposal sites, transfer stations, and waste diversion initiatives.
Board Director - First Nations Youth
OFNTSC is seeking a First Nations Youth Board Director position. Youth between the ages of 18-35, from an Ontario First Nations community are eligible to apply.
Board Director
The organization is presently seeking candidates who are interested in joining the Board and can commit to a 1 to 3-year staggered term with the possibility of renewal. Preference will be given to citizens of a First Nation in Ontario. Applicants that are not citizens of a First Nation in Ontario must be widely recognized as experts in their field.
Circuit Rider Trainer
We are seeking a highly motivated and skilled Circuit Rider Trainer to join our team at OFNTSC. That will work under the guidance of the CRTP Supervisor. The Circuit Rider Trainer will be responsible for training First Nation Water Treatment Plant Operators in the operation and maintenance of their community’s water and wastewater infrastructure by providing onsite OFNTSC Certified-Education-Unit (CEU’s) and On-the-Job Training (OJT’s).
