OFNTSC/PICS/PCC CLIMATE RESILIENCY VIRTUAL WORKSHOP SERIES #1: “Climate Change Risk Assessment and Infrastructure Planning in First Nation Communities

 The Ontario  First Nations Technical Services Corporation, the Pacific Institute for Climate Solutions (PICS), and the Prairie Climate Centre (PCC), are co-delivering a series of (5) workshops focused on climate resiliency and First Nations infrastructure. These interactive sessions will foster dialogue on climate change risk assessment and adaptation planning experiences in First Nation communities.

First-Nation Led Source Water Protection Planning Workshop: Northern Focus

The OFNTSC is offering a 3-day workshop on First Nation-led Source Water Protection Planning that will be specifically geared to Northern and Remote First Nations. Environmental staff from OFNTSC and Dr. Deborah McGregor from Whitefish River First Nation will be delivering this workshop through a variety of hands-on and interactive modalities.

Note: This training is open to First Nations and Tribal Council members/workers/reps only. This training has been designed to provide technical personnel at First Nations and their supporting Tribal Councils with the necessary skills and knowledge required to complete Environmental Site Assessments (ESAs), and implement Remedial Action Plans and/or Risk Assessment/Risk Management Programs within their communities.
