OFNTSC/PICS/PCC CLIMATE RESILIENCY VIRTUAL WORKSHOP SERIES #1: “Climate Change Risk Assessment and Infrastructure Planning in First Nation Communities
The Ontario First Nations Technical Services Corporation, the Pacific Institute for Climate Solutions (PICS), and the Prairie Climate Centre (PCC), are co-delivering a series of (5) workshops focused on climate resiliency and First Nations infrastructure. These interactive sessions will foster dialogue on climate change risk assessment and adaptation planning experiences in First Nation communities.
This workshop audience will target community members such as engineering, public works, asset managers, finance, elected officials, etc., that have gone through the FN-IRT or other risk assessment process and wish to dialogue on climate change risk assessment and adaptation planning in First Nation communities. This session will walk through of the FN-iRT resource of tools, including written content, and demonstrate the interactive link to the Indigenous Climate Atlas.
Information from these workshops will be used in the development of the FN-iRT climate risk resources and the linkage to the Indigenous Atlas of Canada https://climateatlas.ca/.
Who should attend?
First Nation practitioners wishing to apply the FN-iRT for infrastructure data collection, climate risk assessments or asset management planning.
