Household Hazardous Waste Operator Training 2023 - by SWANA Ontario

The objective of the course is to provide information to household hazardous waste operating staff at landfill sites on good operating practices and safety. Students will learn how to handle a wide range of household hazardous waste efficiently and safely, along with the basics of a well laid out landfill site and operational procedures. The course is suited to those involved in the planning, operation and supervision of HHW programs.

  • Proper handling and sorting of collected HHW
  • Site design and layout
  • Health Hazards
  • EPA regulations, WHMIS, and safe handling requirements.
