Transfer Station Operations

This training is open to First Nations and Tribal Councils recommended for Public Works and Technical Managers or anyone with operational responsibilities for a Landfill, Solid Waste Transfer Station, or management of Household Hazardous Waste.

Course Objectives:

• Provide Operators an overview of the important elements of a transfer station operation.
• Understand the importance of good customer service.
• Safe handling practices for both staff and customers.
• Ensure operations operate in compliance with regulatory requirements.

It is being offered online/virtually and registration costs are being directly covered by OFNTSC - with thanks to Indigenous Services Canada for the funding.

Print materials will be sent out to registered participants in advance of the training so they must register through OFNTSC.
