This course will provide an introduction to workplace health and safety but should not replace more in depth hands-on instructional courses including: Canada Labour Code Part II; Confined Space Entry Procedures; Rescue Operations; Safety Equipment Maintenance; Trench Safety and Excavation Procedures; Construction Safety; WHMIS Information and Procedures and; Team Safety Group.

At the end of this workshop, students should be able to: Apply the Canada Labour Code to work situations Identify types of hazards in the workplace Know workers and employer’s rights and responsibilities Apply confined space regulation and procedures Understand how the WHMIS system works and use it in the workplace
