Landfill Operations Basics

This training is open to First Nations and Tribal Councils recommended for Public Works and Technical Managers or anyone with operational responsibilities for a Landfill, Solid Waste Transfer Station, or management of Household Hazardous Waste.

Course Objectives:

• Identify components of the waste stream.
• Understand the various options for recovery and disposal of waste.
• Identify proven methods and equipment for the collection of solid waste.
• Understand the importance of safe operation in everyday collections.

It is being offered online/virtually and registration costs are being directly covered by OFNTSC - with thanks to Indigenous Services Canada for the funding.

Print materials will be sent out to registered participants in advance of the training so they must register through OFNTSC.
