This course will prepare water treatment plant operators to better understand the concepts of operating and maintaining a membrane filtration water treatment plant. The course provides an overview of membrane filtration principles, operational procedures and system components. The course is designed for management, maintenance staff and operations workers in water organizations.
1. Understand the principles of membrane filtration in drinking water treatment.
2. Identify the types of membrane filtration commonly used for water treatment.
3. Recognize the terminology used in the membrane filtration process.
4. Describe standard operating procedures used in membrane filtration.
