This course will help water operators to understand the concepts of maintaining and operating fire hydrants in a drinking water distribution system. The course provides an overview of methods for managing legislative policies and programs.
1. Identify the common types of fire hydrants.
2. Understand basic repair and maintenance procedures.
3. Describe the legislation relevant to fire hydrant operation and maintenance.
4. Develop skills required to execute hydrant inspections and repair
