Paul Schisler, P.Eng., B.A.Sc., B.Comm.

Mr. Schisler is a licensed professional engineer in Ontario and has over 25 years of project management experience in the civil/environmental fields working on a variety of industrial, commercial and residential construction projects. He is well versed in First Nations construction projects and initiatives, and in working with First Nations communities and staff. Mr. Schisler’s diverse education and work experience has allowed him to develop excellent analytical, organizational, interpersonal and communication skills.

Mr. Schisler has been the Manager of Technical Services for the Southern First Nations Secretariat (SFNS) Tribal Council for the past eight years, servicing six First Nations in Southwestern Ontario. He has assisted these First Nations and external consultants with planning, designing, constructing, managing and operating community facilities and infrastructure. The role includes staff supervision, recruitment and selection, providing engineering and inspection services (civil and environmental), and developing and applying policies, standards, codes and regulations for technical services. He also coordinates training and development programs for First Nations and is responsible for capacity building with professional associations/government agencies. Prior to joining SFNS, Mr. Schisler was responsible for the provision of various civil/environmental/geotechnical engineering services for a variety of corporations in southern and northern Ontario. His lengthy career has allowed him to gather extensive project management experience, along with technical knowledge.

Mr. Schisler has served on the OFNTSC Board of Directors for 8 years, including serving on the Executive Committee.
