First Nations (PIEVC) Infrastructure Resilience Toolkit & Asset Management Workshop Mar 9 & 11

These workshops will provide delegates with free training on the First Nations Infrastructure Resilience toolkit and introduce processes to help improve infrastructure resilience to extreme weather and future climate events.
Workshops are open to First Nations Chief and Councils, administrators, infrastructure planners, public works managers, maintenance personnel and Tribal Council representatives throughout Ontario First Nations.

Workshop Objectives:

The objective is to provide training and facilitate dialogue on how to use the newly developed First Nations Infrastructure Resilience Toolkit (FN-IRT).
Upon completion of the workshop, participants will have:

  • Improved knowledge of how climate change has an impact on community infrastructure;
  • Hands-on training using a simple Infrastructure Resilience &Risk Assessments Toolkit;
  • Improved knowledge of climate risk assessment processes and how they can be incorporated into Asset Management plans and:
  • Better understanding of Asset Management Principles &Fundamentals.
