Mamaweswen, the North Shore Tribal Council (NSTC) Board of Directors participated in a Source Water Protection planning workshop in February. The workshop was led by Erica Tropea (OFNTSC) and was designed specifically for the NSTC Board to strengthen collaboration, clarify governance roles, and build a shared foundation of knowledge around source water protection.
Building on the momentum of the October 2025 training attended by NSTC staff and member communities, this workshop marked an important step toward strengthening collective water stewardship among North Shore communities.
Moving forward, we hope to continue building this network and advancing this initiative by utilizing the OFNTSC First Nation Source Water Protection Framework as a key resource.
