What Does Infrastructure Service Offer?

The Ontario First Nations Technical Services Corporation (OFNTSC) offers a wide variety of services to Ontario First Nations and tribal councils. The OFNTSC’s Infrastructure Service works with communities and tribal councils to provide:
  • Housing Inspections: code compliance on residential homes, inspections of existing housing stock and new homes (from plan evaluation to finish)
  • R-2000 inspections and support
  • Indoor air quality assessments
  • Support for Indigenous Services Canada’s (ISC) reporting systems: Integrated Capital Management System (ICMS), Conditional Asset Inventory System (CAIS), Asset Conditional Reporting System (ACRS) and First Nations Infrastructure Investment Plan (FNIIP)
  • Support for ISC’s five year capital plans, and all major capital projects
Services offered by the OFNTSC are free of charge to First Nations and tribal councils in Ontario. Please note that there are costs associated to attend training sessions, conferences and symposiums. Contact us today, to see how we can assist you.

Workplan Priorities For 2018 – 2019

The OFNTSC’s Infrastructure Service will be working on these priorities for the next fiscal year:

  • First Nation reporting (ISC reporting – ICMS, ACRS and FNIIP)
  • Inspections for unaffiliated First Nations and tribal councils (800 Inspections to be conducted this fiscal year)
  • Housing Needs Survey (for UFN’s)
  • Inspections of community buildings for fire code deficiencies
