LEAF Aboriginal Environment Stewardship 2009/2010

The call for proposals for the Lands Environmental Action Fund (LEAF) 2009/2010 has been released by Indian and Northern Affairs Canada. LEAF funding is available for First Nations to undertake a variety of initiatives related to environmental stewardship and capacity building. Funding will be allocated in a manner that supports First Nations on a regional basis, with priority given to projects designed to benefit more than one First Nation. Funding guidelines and eligibility criteria are outlined in the “Call for Proposal” package. Proposals are due by August 15, 2009.

The OFNTSC client base consists of all 134 Ontario First Nations, including 15 Tribal Councils, six Large Nations and 22 Unaffiliated First Nations.
