Each year the the Ontario First Nations Technical Services Corporation (OFNTSC) supports First Nations and Metis students who are pursuing post secondary education in science and technology fields. The OFNTSC presents four awards each year for the Student Achievement Awards and one Derrick Kamanga Memorial Award. The OFNTSC is pleased announced the recipients of the 2014 Student Achievement Awards and Derrick Kamanga Memorial Award.

OFNTSC's Emergency Planning Service Announces eight new training sessions

The OFNTSC's Emergency Planning Service is pleased to announce eight new training sessions aimed at First Nations to help create, refine, and analyze their respective emergency management plans.  Over the next 8 months the Emergency Planning Service will be providing training in communities across Ontario. Communities include Dryden, Fort Frances, Sioux Lookout, Sault Ste. Marie, Rama and Thunder Bay.

All Tribal Council & Large/Unaffiliated First Nations Meeting UPDATED

UPDATE: The OFNTSC's room block for the ATCLUFNM is now sold out.  Delegates who are registering now to attend the meeting will be responsible for finding their own accommodations. 

The Ontario First Nations Technical Services Corporation (OFNTSC) will be holding its All Tribal Council and Large/Unaffiliated First Nations Meeting (ATCLUFNM) from September 10-11, 2014 at the Water Tower Inn In Sault Ste. Marie.

Annual Sudent Achievement Awards/Derrick Kamanga Memorial Award

Each year the Ontario First Nations Technical Services Corporation (OFNTSC) supports First Nation students in their pursuit of educational attainment.  The OFNTSC achieves this by offering the Annual Student Achievement Awards and the Derrick Kamanga Memorial Award. 

The Annual Student Achievement Awards support First Nation students who are pursuing careers in the science and technology fields.  The Achievement Awards consist of a $1000.00 award, a plaque, and an invitation to attend the OFNTSC’s Annual Conference.

2014 First Nations Water Symposium Wrap-Up

Water quality and infrastructure continue to be a concern for First Nations in in Ontario.  That’s why the Ontario First Nations Technical Services Corporation (OFNTSC), Health Canada (HC) and Aboriginal Affairs and Northern Development Canada (AANDC) came together to produce the 2014 First Nations Water Symposium (FNWS), which took place from March 3-5, 2014 in Niagara Falls, ON.

The 2010 First Nations Water Symposium presentations are now available for download. Many First Nations and Tribal Councils from across Ontario joined the OFNTSC and AWWAO for this two day event in Niagara Falls. First Nations Water Symposium Webcast

The 2010 First Nations Water Symposium will open March 9, 2010 at the Hilton Hotel in Niagara Falls, ON. The Symposium will be a two day event. The Ontario First Nations Technical Services Corporation (OFNTSC) with the Aboriginal Water and Wastewater Association of Ontario (AWWAO) in partnership with Health Canada (HC) and Indian and Northern Affairs Canada (INAC) have come together to produce the 2010 First Nations Water Symposium; a drinking water quality education and awareness event.
