Part 9 - The Building Envelope

The OFNTSC will be providing training for Part 9 - The Building Envelope in March, 2010. The training will be taking place at the Days Inn, Orilla (across from Casino Rama). This is a five day (37 hour) basic Part 9 course dealing with plan examination & inspections of the house structure and the building envelope. It includes the following topics: An Introduction to the Ontario Building Code (OBC); The House - General; Difficulties Confronting Building Inspectors; Reading Plans; Building Permit Application; Site Plans; Footings; Foundation Walls; Concrete Slabs on Ground; Roof and Ceiling Construction; Floor Construction; Wall Construction; Other Structural Components.
